im changing my cv gaiters and ive got to the point where i need to remove the cv joint from the driveshaft, ive wiped away the grease and i can see a clip now ive tried to expand this clip as i guess this is what releases the shaft from the joint, but no matter how much i try the shaft wont come out but to be fair im using some circlip pliers to expand the clip but they keep slipping off, is there a special tool or somat im doin wrong

will u not ruin the clip or can you buy new ones
