I hacksawed mine off too to put that very same handle on but I never butched it like you did!

you think thats bad. I once came accross a metal gear knob that was stuck on and the grub screws had rounder and would not come off for love nor money. i tried hacksawing it and everything. in the end i took a circular saw to it. there was metal all over the car lol

im after a new handbrake handle which is the best fit to get? ive got a richbrook one but the fit is crap! so i took it off and got none now

I had to hacksaw mine off too, they are real bastards to remove.

I also found a big hammer and screwdriver to be of assitance.

The Richbrook one will fit Silver_V179GNA if you put shit loadsa tape underneath it.
Sounds dodgy I know but thats what I did and its been on there for 3 years now and never come off.
