I've spent a bit of coin on mine here and there, mainly out of bordem etc, anyway, there are a few bits that need sorting out and i'd be happy, but i've decided to stop spending on it as i've spent more than its worth anyway!, Dunno if i should spend a couple of hundred 200 quid max just to finish off, or leave it. Need a replacement front bumper i could get for sub 50 quid, but then would need to spray it, i'd do it with cans myself but still adds up for all the materials etc.
anyone else in the same boat?! or experienced same thing and regretted their decision?

Depends what you plan on doing with the car after you've finished it. If you're gonna keep it for a while longer and you think it's worth the final spend then do it, but if your gonna get rid and it's in a reasonable condition, let it go now .

Just leave it, if thats your theory then it will never be 'finished' and you'll just want to do more and more.

It really depends what state the car is in, and whether you really want it finished or not.

i wouldn't, it would defo be finished enough for me it i sorted the front out, at the moment loads of red is coming through from underneath the paint and the splitter is coming off and there is no clips for the fog inserts and also need to redo wing mirror covers.
Rob, no point selling it, not worth anything to anyone but me, had nine owners, no service history shit like that. Does the job for me though if you get what i mean.

If you've no reason to get rid i'd probably just do it to tidy it up. If it's a derv you may aswell run it into the ground but keep it looking tidy in the mean time .

thats kind of the plan but its got a 46k engine in it so its got a few years left in it. it will wait till i have enough coin for my mk4 golf derv. Suppose the missus can have it for her first car, never thought.

if your not going to sell it or do anything with it after u get your mk4 dont do anything that isnt necessary. that way you dont have to spend on this while trying to save?
EDIT - like the alloys btw
