I would like to point out that Mark Wanrer as with Sunsail and Neilsen are not your typical holiday destinations!
THey are not holiday "Resorts" in the typical sense of the description - it's not like the centre of Malaga or Ibiza or anywhere else of that description.
These are select watersports destinations, normally set in a remote location away from the typical tourist destination. They do instill a sense of security (False or otherwise) into parents.
My sister works for Sunsail in Vinoukki, Greece. The set up is near identical to Mark Warner, small remote village location. The site has a number of small appartments, maximum two floors. Most of those there are british and from professional backgrounds.
Its not the type of location that heavy drinking teenage clubbers would go to; its not full of "brits abroad". The places on the whole are incredibly safe.
I'm not debating wether the parents were right or wrong, I'm just seting the scene of the type of holiday; it's not as most people here seem to view it!

No one has said it was their fault, just saying they were irresponsible. And I doubt they are reading this anyway, and if they are then they shouldnt be!

I can see why that would make people thinks its a little more secure/upmarket, but I dont really see how it would actually make any difference other than the fact your not surrounded by drunk honry teenagers!!

They're very secluded; while you're on holiday there you get to know everyone on the complex really well - almost to the realms of extended family Everyone looks out for everyone elses kids etc.
I'm not necessarily saying it's right but I am saying you are lulled into a greater sense of security than you would be in the centre of a main tourist resort. You're in an enclosed "compound" (for want of a better description) hence the greater feeling of security

BTW I really really hope they find her, and I don;t think think she's been killed but I do wonder how distraught she may be if they ever find her

I think the parents have been unbelievably stupid but shant rant, all i will say is that i hope they find her safe, and soon
