Anybody here take part in it through their university?
I'm doing it with mine, Swansea University, entering Class 3 this year, although we also have a team entering Class 1.
I was getting pissed off last night trying to build up an assembly drawing of a corner of the car, finally got there though, just need to get the steering bracket drawing which I forgot to get from uni on Friday.
Here is what I was working on:

What do you think?

In that picture we have:
Upright
Top pickup
ap racing 4 pot calliper
Disc
Spacer
Hub
then all the correct bolts
The bit missing is the steering pickup, which will fit where the two spare bolts are in the upright.

That disk doesn't look very chunky.. Ours are much bigger
The guys have just finished building our full carbon fibre monocoque and the engine is being mapped at the moment for our car. We are using a special engine

Those discs are the same size used on our cars for the last 4 years or so and we have never had a problem with them, so I am using them again!
At the moment we have a Husqvarna 510 engine, single cylinder that is pretty crap to be fair.
Next year, with my team we are using a CBR600 engine, much better!
What engine Ed?

This is our Mk1 carbon fibre car. It uses a steel rear space frame and actually weighs more than the one with the full steel space frame Though like all things we have advanced a fair bit and this years car is looking pretty hot...
