My poor little cat (still at my mums) is going to be put down tonight  I got her when i was 4 years old, shes nearly 23!!!!!!!!!! 
Shes had no teeth the last 5+ years, shes had an over-active theiroid (?sp) and has had to have a crush pill ever day for god knows how many years (poo blood etc).
Shes going senial, missing the litter tray etc now, and we've decided rather than let her suffer with demensia and other problems, its time to let her go.
Got her a nice little metal cat type ornoment as a grave cover. Gonna bury her in the front garden. A little bit like...
Shes nothing special, just a plain black moggy, but 23 years of age, not to be sniffed at, shes had a good run.
This was taken about 4-5 years ago.

looks almost identical to shadow, my cat she was around 20. she went jan this year, heart murour/stroke
not nice but its the best thing

23 is an amazing age for a cat. In fact anything over 14/15 is good. She has had a good life.
That makes her around 161 , one of the oldest I've heard of

My cat is 22 in July, Still got all her teeth too.
Sorry to hear about your cat dude, but when they live so long its fantastic, it takes away that extra sadness because they have had a damn good run!

Sam - Thats doing damn well. I think she got kicked/hit by a car or something quite a while ago. She came back home 1 day with her teeth accoss her mouth, opposed to top to bottom of her mouth. They fell out, we had to mush her food up and stop giving her cat buscuits ever since (unless put in water to make them soft  ).
