Have just fitted my depo headlights but my the beam pattern is everywhere, does anyone have any info on aligning the headlights? i know there is a knob you twist on the back of the electric light leveller to aim the light up or down & that there is a screw that alters the left/right directon. just wondering if anyone has any info on seting it up enough the the beam is correct.

i would normally go down the mot station an ask them to align it for me but cant get down there till Tuesday and trouble is i have to do quite a bit of night driving tonight.

i have been told to try this

"drive you car against a suitable wall.
mark two crosses (on the wall) at the centre of the headlights. back off some 12 feet or so, and align the mainbeam to centre on the crosses.
the dipped lights will then be correct"

would this be the best way of sorting the alignment

The first time I got my Depos, I had an MOT testing station set them for me, cost £10 cash in hand, so that is your best option.

I was told for my 2nd pair, to turn the existing lights on whilst against my garage, mark the beam with tape, fit the Depos and adjust, which I did using the method you said above (knob and screw).

What you suggested in the quote marks may work, but I don't know.

Alternatively, go down a really dark, flat country lane and set them up. You'll just be able to tell what is wrong and what isn't. If you don't get flashed by too many drivers, I wouldn't worry.
