Hi, just wondering if fitting just spring to my corsa would affect the ride. i.e: will i feel every bump in the road beacause of the springs. I don't want to sacrifice comfort for looks!

Cheers

It will be slightly harder. I find that springs without shocks are too bouncy.

What springs are they?

not sure, think they're spax. They were in a clearance cabinet in My local halfords and I've asked them to keep them for me.

I had 40mm Gmax springs with standard shocks and the ride was good, wasn't too bouncy and made the car handle alot better

Reason for asking is because there are bad potholes an speed bumps round my area. not to mention the great A and B roads!

We have the same here. I got pulled for suspicion of drink driving. I was avoiding potholes, not pissed.

Have you ever been my Way (Bangor)? They've just spent £3 million on a new traffic system wich is totally ****! and the roads around the place are terrible! some of them are as though you've just mounted a kerb doing 30 mph!

I've always found Welsh roads to be quite good.

They are except for Bangor's the potholes are in the town/City centre- they're huge. The roads are fine on the outskirts tbh.

Just came to me now; will I need to tell the insurance company that I'm lowering with springs only? Also, would they be funny for putting alloys off another vauxhall and not declaring them?

I am aware that Exterior mods are not so hated by company's and if you crash and they're not declared it comes out of your pocket i.e. insurance pay for standard items only.
