If i'm being offered between £3,800-4k for my car as a p/x value, what kind of value is reasonable to ask for it selling it privatly?
btw, the value for trade-in is actuall trade value, not an inflated one as the price of the car is already rock-bottom .

Fair bit of difference (£500) between the two 
Autotrader's pretty useless for SRi's as you've got old style ones (that looked like Sxi's) going for silly money from gargaes compared to lower miled new spec ones with les smiles being sold private!

I told someone last week to phone wisebuyers guide and ask them to supply a Leon 1.6 SX the same as the one I was selling for £6k cos ours was up at £7995 and sensibly priced! I also told him to ask for his £3.50 back that he paid for the book.
