Just make sure you use a non abrasive wax or polish. Luckily all the stuff you buy off the shelf at Halfords is non abrasive. Apart from stuff like T-Cut or ScratchX, though even those compounds are so fine you probably wouldn't do a lot of damage with them...

Have your car mopped which will cut back the laquer but will restore the pint work and prevent it from fding so quick. I done mine last month. It also removes all the swirls in the laquer which you see in the sun light. Looks fab now. It'll cost a bit unless you know someone in the trade like i do.

Also if ya can get hold of it try smart wax. It's brand new from the states but it's fantastic. Especially the sealent. Use their polish then wax then selant and it lasts for ages. No dust when polishing and really easy to remove. I used to swear by autoglym super resin and megauirs tech wax until i tried this. Fantasic stuff. Highly recommended.

Yes it's called mopping. They use a high speed polisher (basically) and a cutting compound such as farecla' G3. Couldn't quote a rough price as i've never paided for it. Go to some local bodyshop's and get quotes. Shouldn't be too much at all. At a random guess £50?????

Super Resin polish is idea for you flame red car mate. Polish it well, then apply a coat of sealent, and a couple of layers of wax.

Then the car wont, and all youll need to do it apply wax as and when really.

Oh and also mopping is not very good mate. Depending on the bodyshop who does it, that can often make more harm than good.

Im a professional detailer so pm me if you need the names of products etc. you will not need a respray mate. Ill get a pic of my flame red corsa and put it on here later.
