Well with my car gone for respray and coming to the time where i get to move onto something else i wanted to get some stats going.
It's a 1.4sri 8v.
Yep something that alot go - not worth doing anything to at all...but its my baby and i simply can't get insurance on a 1.6 yet so! With that said i have a friend that does alot of engine work and can get alot of parts cheap with massive discount he also does remap work and chipping etc.
Parts looking at just to give you guys a little idea.
BMC cda.
4-2-1
New plugs/leads etc
Uni chip
Cam (maybe not sure depends how cheap is cheap on this)
A couple of other little things here and there
Other than that all it has done to it is full exhaust system
Any idea on what gains i'd get, some said 5bhp, some have said 10-/+

I thought means i can get most of the parts cheap it will give me something to work on and practice fitting before i move to my summer/winter project which hopefully will be above a 1.6
Anyway i don't really want comments like it's not worth it. Just want some ideas on gains if people can give decent answers

Well, the carbs will need a RR setup, so thats probably £200 ish.
Carbs-£200
Headwork-£200-£300
Cam-£200
Manifold-£100
Soon adds up.
Worth it for the noise lol
