I thought plates with a different font/spacing were illegal?

thats what i thought, but apparently they are equal spacing between each digit. and font is readable from a distance..

the MOT and the Law are two seperate things

to be legal there is certain font sets that you need to use.

also the law is extremely specific in this area. they have to be the right font, size, colour, spacing and also spacing from the edge of the letters to the edge of the plates.
if i could be arsed id link the website. your plates are illegal

That's the story with most cops though.

Police round here are harsh, they get the ruler out and measure your lettering and the size of your plate. And yours would be an on the spot fine with a 7 day rectification notice boyo

I had my front plate removed by the police and held by the Police for evidence pending a court hearing.
I've had legal plates ever since, that was around 7-8 years ago
