just had our 1st gas bill this morning since moving in.
£168.02 for 25/11/06 to 22/01/07 estimate.
so ring them up and they ask for the actual reading now, give it too them and they say our bill is now £270
so from 25/11/06 to 07/03/07 we have used £270 worth of gas.
we dont even have it on as much as we used too in our previous house and its dearer.
we took a reading too when we moved in, so not pay for the previous people who used to live here.
women on phone also said we may have a leak or our meter could be faulty, so we after take daily readings of our meter to see.

It does seem a lot, but depends how much it gets used. My heating is on for 1hour in the morning and 2.5/3.5hrs at night. Hot water for 40mins in morning and 1hour at night. Normally, obv. sometimes changes and in Jan. it waas running a lot as I had 2weeks off work and 1 week in Dec.

I think my boiler might be quite unefficient also, as it looks and sounds a bit old!
