Got another mirror for my 106 for the drivers side as the S1 one didnt fit as I would have hoped. The one I just recieved through the post had a good as white base plate, ive been over it with bumper care and its come up alright but still doesnt match the blackness of the actual mirror. I tried a hairdryer but it didnt do anything. What else can I do and what actually is a heat gun?

Hairdryer won't get hot enough. Get a heatgun from Halfords for 30 quid.
