Im currently wiring in my rev counter clocks, but theres 4 green wires, and I have no mulit-meter to test which one i need. So:

Broke the fucking plastic front when I was taking the dials out, raging

I'd say the one on its own.
Its DEF a solid green colour tho

Theres a little blue bit on the single green wire, you can see it in the picture, will that make a difference?

Its a solid green one.
Hard to tell in the picture.
I havent got any of my wiring diagrams with me 
Tried making small cuts in the wire and checking each one? to see if the rev counter works?
Just make sure you tape it back up after

What engine?
The green you need should be in the small plug that joins the ecu loom to the car loom.

Seems it was one on the right, 2 of them went solid green. Works well:
