ok people, whats the best way to go about gettin a mechanic apprenticeship, koz ive realised l8ly that connexions is wank! heres the story: i walk into connexions, see an advisor, tell her what i want, she tells me basically that im shit for not having good enough qualifications in life and im going to die a slow painfull death on a step round the back of curries unless i choose her jobs, which is completly irrelavent to anything that i want to do, she picks out the jobs for me without me saying yes and reels off the printouts hands me them an tells me to fuck off! ok so it didnt quite happen like that but you get the point! so im askin from other people on the best way to get one.....a mechanic apprenticeship i mean lol

I did an apprentaship in engineering, and got into that thru a place called KITS, which is a training school for Engineering, fabrication and electricans. did 10months there then they find you a company to carry your apprentaship on with.
Would be worth havin a look if there is anything simelar up your way.
Failing that you could goto Dews

Try a careers centre or job centre. If that fails spend an afternoon with the phonebook calling local companies and asking them. Would recommend some sort of engineering over a mechaninc one though.

search for a company called EMTEC
you'll do an apptitude test with them (piece of bollocks) then your name will go in the pool
17 folk did it when i did, and i got the highest marks got offered 14 mechanic apprentiships and landed one in hte vauxhall garage on my back door
wish i didnt plump for the convienience tho as the garage was shit, treated staff so badly,

Re-mit are absolout shcaisters, we had to take on 3of their apprentice's and the lever of work they had done was very very poor,
do not go to re-mit
Emtec all the way
