saw one of these renaults fly passed me today and it looked quite nippy. just wondered who would win in a 1/4 mile drag? obv the renault would be better handling.

All depends on whats been done to the R5 they can be real nippy and quick cars

Oh they are bloody fun on the road aswell

not entirely, 2.0 16v in a corsa with g-max lowering springs on standard dampers = not great. watch out for robin reliants

IMO parts will fall off the R5GTT and scatter all over like like confetti in a wind tunnel and the XE wouldn't - ergo Corsa "wins"

But just to be on the safe side I'm gonna wait until Cupra Steve has graced this thread - then we'll know FO'SHO!!

standard / standard id probably say the corsa.

the r5 runs 0-60 in about 7.8 standard im unsure what a c20xe would do it in. but it must be quicker

stardard the corsa would win easy. raced a few tuned ones to when mine was still standard and they just couldnt keep up.

not trying to be big headed or bias but i did over 200 runs last year in my corsa and i got to race a few different cars

tuck a r5 gtt owner out in mine not that long ago and hes seemed to think my xe was quicker than his gtt
