Incidentally, never could 'get' the Monte thing. Remember looking at one in the showroom of one of my local Ford dealers.
There it sat, horrid cheap looking upholstery, tacky little wing and boot decals, horrid Ford badge in the middle of the boot, horrid colour that looked like a ladies lipstick and god awful OZ rims that were far too small for the car and ruined the aesthetics and didn't suit it a fraction as well as proper Escort Cosworth rims. I think it was a small turbo variant aswell, AND, the windscreen price was more than you'd pay full retail for a lux pack big turbo model with full aero pack.
What the 'Monte' should have been is a stripped out WRC tarmac car replica with 300 - 400 bhp, a cage, FIA seats, harnesses, proper full sized OZ rims and finished in works colours with the option of plain white.
And unlimited build numbers.

Is it me or are they two different series ones look at the back of them they look different. i mean from when it is on the comps to when it is on the 7 spokes. hope this makes sense
