dunno if they are just old or whatever but mine are a bit shit (came on the car)

the chrome is peeling. was gonna take em off and spray em black.

do they go over the top of the old pedalss or do they replace them?

they are direct replacement.
the OEM rubber come off and the Irmy ones screw in
