is it different? i.e. the same as GSI?

or can i just get a 60mm lowering kit for corsa b and it will fit?

was told by the local carnouiseur cretin that i needed different suspension.

but he reckons that the gsi and sport is 20mm lower as standadrd so a 40mm kit will lower it 60mm. now is he just an idiot. cus if you take 20mm shocks out and put 40mm one in it will still be 40mm. not 20mm right?

like i said the blokes a cretin so i wanted to check before buyign the wrong thing (not from carnoiuseur)

If you fit 40mm springs to a car which is already 20mm lower than standard, it will lower your car only the remaining 20mm.

Its 40mm from standard merit spec.

Sport is half way there.

If you remove the shocks and start again you will lower by the new kit.

Either will do the job but be aware that if the quoted figure is for normal spec then it needs 20mm taking off it.

If the drop is for Sport then it will drop it that far.

Also, don't take it as gospel. Condition of dampers and other suspension components can also have an effect on how it sits.

This all assumes of course that the information you are getting is correct which even in a brochure might be wrong if the manufacturer spec isn't taking in to account.

How low do you want it?

Look at this example

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOWERING-SPRINGS-VAUXHALL-CORSA-1-6-GSI-20MM_W0QQitemZ170074131212QQcategoryZ40192QQcmdZViewItem

AB60-155 CORSA 1.0,1.2i,1.4i 3/93>00 40 mm drop
AB60-155 CORSA 1.4 Si,Sri,Sport 3/93>00 35 mm drop
AB60-155 CORSA 1.6 Gsi 3/93>00 20 mm drop

Same model number for all kit but it lowers different models different distances.

I would put the SRi/Sport being 35mm down to then assuming the engine is heavier, which there is probably some truth in.

Actually its not.

http://www.dcp-shop.co.uk/buy-car-accessories/default.php?cPath=1322

Same price though, and on the different applications the only difference is drop.
