very random question here

Was there such an aircraft as a MiG 28? this is the 'enemy' aircraft that appeared in the film Top Gun, but some websites, dissmiss its exsistance and claim it was a fictional aeroplane for films etc.
although some websites say it does exist and was based on the american f5E, built by vietnam after 1975.

can anyone give me some direction here?

right, but what the other guy was saying is that it was a vietnamese built version of the f5e/t38 talon, which did clash with f14's in the 1980's

lovely, also found out that the f14s clashed with lybian jets in 1981 and 1989. but they were Su-22's in 1981 (both su 22's were shot down, both pilots survived ) in 1989 they were 2 MiG 23 Floggers. both were shot down by the Americans, the pilots ejected but no lybian rescue was mounted.

yes as would any plane that isnt powered through the wheels, so any plane
