Well tonight around 11:30pm. I was driving around in my corsa following a friends 106. We drove up to Ilkiston which is on a one way system. Until you come to the top end of town. At this point there is - Taxi bays (no other cars but taxis allowed) To the right bus stops, straight on carries on to main roads.
My friend pulled into the taxi area (no idea if he saw the police or not) i carried on as i saw them in my mirror. I then saw them pull up and walk over to my friends 106. so i turned around and drove back past. No suprise as it's what most would do out of concern (he has only passed his test for around a week) However i couldn't turn around at the top due to road markings and due to the one way system that leads into town. So i carried on (following the road) ended up in tesco car park where i waited for my friends.
I then get told by my friends (3 of them) the cops (one gave me the looks) That they said - Next time you see your mate in the corsa tell him his got a ticket.  for using bus lanes. Last time i checked the lanes end at 4pm. Unless im wrong. Also never driven up that way and didn't see any blue signs for Busses only like normal. So here i am thinking ok? so i don't park up in a taxi area only, i don't speed, i don't drive like a nutter, yet im the one thats getting the ticket?
Anyway apparently they said i would be getting a ticket, yet again 2 cars where following me so what about them? 
Would they be able to give me a ticket just for that? or do you think it's just a joke from a cocky copper...wouldn't they need drivers info+reg+all that? 
Or do you think im just an unlucky modder thats going to get what? a £30 fine? hopefully no points

i think they have to actually give you the ticket personally. just ignore them and if you dont get anything through the post with 14 days then fuck it!

Ya, i thought so to, just like a ticket warden, still has to take details of the car and leave it 'with the car' it's either, it's not like i have been speeding and caught on camera

Don't think so, friends only just passed his test and takes everything to do with driving quiet serious atm.

copper probably did say that, but he'd of meant the cameras which monitor the bus lanes would catch you and send a ticket,
but they wont be monitoring at that time of the night
