That's rubbish tbh.
Ted baker stuff I have is brilliant quality.
Can tell as soon as you touch it it's expensive.

River island is ok but its prices keep going up and its not worth the money, plus the sizes are bizzare in there.

I'm quite a fussy person when it comes to buying clothes, and I don't use many High Street stores but I love River Island for everyday stuff
Kirsty/topshot - i'm not saying i'm properely into fashion or anything cos' i'm not but it fits me and I find it quite good value for money.

the mens bit must be better than the womans then.
Saying that designer stuff is a rip off too, i had a look at rock and republic jeans. £400 and the quality was rubbish, really thin.

I worked there for a stint. If you think its good quality, you carry on buying. Used to joke with the manager about how crap all the materials were and how many peopel brought back ripped items after washing etc...
You don't pay £70+ for a pair of TB jeans only to have the pockets rip away, or a £90 shirt to have all the seams come undone etc....
If you think its quality by touch, sorry, but i gotta at that...
Tom, River Island, not been in there for a while, but i bought a pair of jeans in there and they are some of the best i've actually owned (Far better than any TB above i've had). Thick, well made, well fitting, and only about £40-£50. Happy days.
Although RI does have some serious tat as well, but then its just other fashions. The material is much better than TM.
Top Man was good back in the early 90's... Gone downhill ever since.

PS, had a pair of kicker boots i got from River Island that i leave at work (wear bike boots home) and i've had them a good 4 years now Although the soul is getting thin, need new ones soon.
I've had Next loafers as well.... What a joke. Working with computers, and the nice plastic soles, and carpet = HUUUGE static shocks.... They also split accross the soul. Won't buy plastic cheap shoes again thats for sure (Just for the leccy shocks!!)

Tom
I've had shit loads of everyday stuff from River Island and never had any problems with it falling apart etc. I don't think its expensive at all for what your getting, I'd say average High Street prices
Tom same as you, their jeans etc are a great fit. I'm a size 8 in jeans and River Island size 8 are a perfect fit

Thats exactly what I was about to say, prices in there recently have got beyond a joke, I used to go in there and buy all my summer stuff for holidays etc as it was quite cheap, now I can go in H&M and get better stuff for less.
