Seen this on Piston heads earlier, will have to see what happens. Aston have been on a roll lately.

ford have mega losses, and need some cash - better to sell it now it's make money, than for very little when it was making a loss...

yea MarkW, is rite,in 2005 they only made about $73m profit compared to $469m. they had to mortgage there assets such as aston martin when they owned it, just to raise finance, there where plants closing in america and other european citys to help solve the cash flow problem.

I know that, but as they've started making money through AM, IMO, it is odd to sell now, after throwing all that money at it.

Should be fine, the Phoenix Four aren't involved, and there doesn't appear to be any Russians on the agenda either Ed.

It makes sence for Ford to sell off as they cannot afford to invest, so Aston would suffer in the long term if they hung on.
It's also a way of recouping some loss and simplifying their portfolio I suppose.

Ford's success would probably have been maintained if they built cars like some of the examples they did between 1968 (and even earlier) and 1996, rather than -
Mundanos
Fecarses
Fisters that look like Fecarses
and FWD Transits
