As per the topic, does anyone know where the crank sensor is located on a VW Passat, think it's a 51 plate 2.0 20v?

Pics would help, can't find any on Google search..

near the crank, iirc the impulse sender is mounted on a cast actully on the block on the left hand side at the back,
