If it's not a limited company then you can have any name under the sun.
You can have 10 people calling their business Polish-it
If it's a limited company though then you cannot have a name already taken by another limited company.

actually you cant remove the - ! If you were to register and want that name you would need to add (UK) at the end. if it has Ltd at the end you can't remove it to have that name. so Polish-It (UK) Ltd it is
