my car went in today and failed 
side indicators (there missing aso new they would fail as they are on order).
a tyre being od and not having a correct number on it ??? wtf help
brake cylinder has seized, easy enough to sort
however they said that if i removed the car then they would charge for MOT again is this orrect what ever happened to the 2 weeks to sort it and take it back?
any help appreciated

well i took my car away agin, but returned it back there to have the work done and they didn't charge for retest, but I did have some of my old MOT left...

yea, now the garage will only re-do the MOT for free if they carry out the work. Although i think some garages will still let you go away and get it repaired..

Im guessing from what you say that you have an odd sized tyre. Tyres on the same axle have to be the same.
As for the retest I'm sure its at their discretion if they charge for a retest. All the info is on the fail sheet mate, just have read of that.

thanks kano, do you know which number they are reffering to as i loked and though (obviosuly over looked) though tthey were all same size

be the 195/45/15 kind of number

on the sidewall of your tyre there will be a number like 195/50/15 or similair depending on your size obviously..
Basically these numbers have to be the same on both tyres.
If your in any doubt just phone the garage and get them to explain the problem.

- after a certain year, all cars must have side repeaters.
2) a tyre being od and not having a correct number on it ??? wtf help
- wrong tyre size. tyres must be the same size and speed ratin accross the axel. aslo 'x'ply and radle tyres cannot be on the same axel.

Tyres dont have to be the same speed rating...
