Dunno if this should be in general or mod advice but i will post in here. Anyway a mate of mine bought a 1400 16v tigra which was clean but it did not run well. He took it to santa pod and it blew up half way up the strip. He got it towed home and a garage near to him took the engine and rebuilt it for him. It was overbored with bigger pistons up rated cams and all the head was ported and polished and i imagine skimmed. They gave it back to him and told him to run it in gently which stupidly he ignored. 300 miles later he is back at santa pod. Half way up the strip it just cut out. It turned over but refused to start. Another trip back on the tow truck and he just gave up ripped the lump out and fitted an xe. Anyway i have now bought the engine for 20 quid all complete. Does anyone wanna guess what might be wrong with it. Is it likely to be repairable or shall i scrap it and keep the injectors, alternator and the starter motor. Sorry for the essay

check the belt on the pallet. u could connect it up to a battery on a pallet and crank it over to c if it sparks and put a multi meter on the the fuel feed wire to c if it gets voltage. its probably something stupid wrong with it
