i have had the below email do i trust it and update? i have never used it just set it up incase i needed to

DO NOT click on any link in the mail. Go to your Paypal homepage and log in

Wouldn't trust that link as its not a secure one. i.e https. Do what abdus suggested.

The link posted above is fine.
Doesn't matter if its not https.
Its what that would have been covering up in the email that's the problem.

The fact they have spelt Paypal wrong would concern me

That link takes you through a proxy, which isnt secure, and probably records your input into the login..
Thus how they steal your account details...
Just like the old MSN account stealer.
