Ive had the corsa almost 3 years now and it has had a little warranty work done on nothing major.
They have now sent me a letter to extend it for a year.. £325.00
What a con!
Has anyone taken this out and would advise to do so?

Its an idea.. but then i get raped every month for £200-300 on finance - and that from a cahoot loan at 5%!
I will have an extra £300 a month from April onwards

But at least if you get a new car you get a 3 year warranty, no need to worry about MOT's and its a new car just depends if you can afford that every month I guess! Bit of a luxury changing your car every 3 years but its what alot of people do.
Your Corsa will only decrease in value more and more. As for the extra warranty I'm not sure if thats a good price or not?!

how much is an extended warranty on a £250 washing machine? £50? thats 20% of the value of the product.
How much was your car? £8000? That £325 should look cheap

For BMW's, it is over £1000. Used to be a lot less, as it was done through the dealer, not through BMW's insurance company, which it is now. Some EU directive has made it so expensive.
Bargain, if you consider a new engine for E46 M3 is something like £9k.
On something like a Corsa, I wouldn't bother to be honest. Repairs don't cost too much, as long as it is looked after, nothing should be a problem. In theory that is.
You could also consider £325 one off payment for the year, or £3600 you'd pay getting a new car on finance. Look at it like that, and it seems worth it. It's only like extending your repayments in April, for 1 month.

You have a point there Deano..
Corsa at 36k miles wont be worth 8k from 11k new.
