I did the same for my girlfriend - was £2k though and she paid me back £1k. But I was driving it for nearly 1 year, only paying for petrol alternately so I thought that was fair.
The price sounds good for what the car is Bullet Proof!

had the car 3 days now, replaced a sidelighyt bulb, pulled out the window tints, and gave it a full vallet.
got a few little bits to do like the electric wing mirror doesent seem to respond all the time, and the rear seat clip has broke somewhere coz it doesent release to fold forward.
other then that it seems a great little car, ive never been in the corsa c for a long period before only about 5-10 mins. but i think they are really nice to drive. even though its only a 1.2 the pickup is good in all gears, it doesent even stutter when going slow in fourth, you can still just accelerate without dropping a gear.
steering is nice, seat position nice. i love it and want one myself. so hopefully gona sell the b in the near future
decided to keep the 17s on it, but replace a big bore exhaust it has on it. thats probably about it, oh alos took off the piperx cone and put the airbox and standard filter back on

I think the 1.2 16v engines are pretty good - did 2 lots of 3 hours in one for my PassPlus and it coped fine. Do you not find the steering a bit light though?
