I've been Offered to Swap My Corsa for a VW Golf Clipper GTi, although it's a bit dirty and full of oil, the Bodywork is immaculate so should gleam after a good wash, It also has cream Half leather interior
i'm just a bit undecided though as they are old Car's, What are they like to live with in the not so warm Month's like now(I imagine pretty cold due to the soft-top?), What's the handling/Driving & Reliability like?
I'm Imagining it wil be quite nippy being a 1.8GTi, But I dont know whether its the 8v or 16v lol
Anyway heres Pic's Of the Clipper & My Corsa http://photos.yahoo.com/ph/benji_2k3/slideshow?.dir=/3653&.src=ph
Worth the Swap?

personally i would, combat corsa's are a bit dated thesse days, but the golf clipper is a proper classic and still very much sought after,if someone offered me a swap i would, aslong as it was in good shape, the bodykit usually hides all the rust though

If the clipper could come back looking clean and fresh I would...Bit of a classic...
Might be a bit harder on the wallet on repairs etc but worth it if you get it mint...

Yea your right, Combat kitted Corsa's Are Very Common, Plus the Golf's Retro & more Subtle, I Get quite a Few Strange looks Driving a Corsa With a Pink pearl in it
Just got to fix The SRi before i swap though, Needs a New Ecu & MOT this week

Aye go for it! Give it a proper clean and a few little touches here and there and it would be minted. I like those

Ah right o well should still have a bit of poke, any idea of stats from the 1.8 8v?
1st job will be getting it Cleaned And looking Whiter than white
Then look @ Some Subtle Mods & New Wheels Maybe?
I like the Badgless Slated Grill's with the single Lamps & Eyebrow so that might be a start

About 112/115bhp. Respectable performance.

Not bad at all really for something to cruise about in through the summer, I'll be taking it off the Road come September for the winter anyway as my Mum's buying me a Puma (the wide bodied Racing Version) for my 21st so will look into making it a bit quicker then, Aren't the 1.8T 20v conversions Quite popular now in MKII Golfs? Sure i have read about quite a few, something to think about, but atleast a year away yet

yeah 20vt conversions are popular but cost loads! think u could do a C20LET corsa for probably under half of what a 20vt conversion would cost in a golf!

If you decide to keep your Corsa, you should put it near standard imo. Don't like that body kit at all

The kit isn't that bad i dont think, the Guy who i am Swapping the Corsa to for the Golf Put the Kit on Originally as he was the Owner of the Corsa in the 1st place.
And after thinking about it I've Decided I'm Definetly going to swap, I will miss the Corsa though, even though it caused nothing but problems lol

I have money put aside for a fun project come next winter anyway, Was thinking about making a Sleeper or a Very Subtle Looking turbo Toy, so far its out of:
2.0T Rover 200 (bubble 96-on)
2.0T LET Nova/corsa
1.8T golf
But your Right the LET corsa is probably the Cheapest & I do Love the Subtle Corsa's on here esp Xe/Let, But i just think the Other 2 options Are a bit more different , Esp the Rover Idea, Suppose i will just wait till closer till the time before i decide
