Numberplate in rear window?

Obviously need to be lit up.

Yeah, its not allowed.

Speed camera flash will just reflect off the window (apparently)

I thought it would be ok as long as it lights up? Don't think there is a law that it has to be on bumper or boot just visible.

I think its legal, as loing as there is a light as you said. Someone here wanted to put theirs on the top of their rear screen with the light inthe rear washer jet place.

Also the window doesnt reflect speed camera flash, look:

Police will pull you regardless,my mate had his in rear window,they said its obstructing his view through the window,which i argued with them most vans dont have rear windows,Copper got pissed off and wrote him a rectification notice

some buses have theirs behind a glass/plastic window

my old school bus did

no law to say it has to be in a certain place, just has to be rear facing

you could have it on a pole above your windowscreen facing backwards so long as it is visable there is not much they can do unless its in black and white

rear facing, lit up and 'as vertical as reasonably practicable' i think it was when i read up on it

it is legal though
