yes, you kust need to replace the speed sender in the gearbox with a worm drive electronic type one and connect up the 3 wires.
black = ign live
brown = earth
blue/red = speeed signal to clocks.

does the ecu read the speed signal from that wire??
and where do i connect it on the clocks?

you will need to make up a loom with the 3 wires. the signal one just links into the blue/red at the back of the clocks.
Adam, I have a plug and the loom spare in the old shell. all you would need is the sender for the gearbox. want it?
