Heres a few things 4 u...
1. Tonight i put a fiver in the tank, started up and drove off and the car would not drive, it jus made alot of noise and slowly picked up. Sounded like a herbie and it was puffing out the exhaust, felt like it was goin to stall when it was idle...any ideas?
2. When i start the car 9/10 times theres a wierd noise from behind the dash, sort of a squeeing noise...any ideas?

came home on my lunch today and when i stopped at a junction the revs tayed high when i was in 1st ready 2 pull away, but my foot wasnt on the accelerator. All the way home the revs would stay up when i took my foot off the accelerator, unless i put my foot under the pedal and pulled it up. Is that just a sticky pedal do u think?
Also if u put the accelerator to the floor, you can still push it a bit more it feels like its on a spring are all corsas like that?

does it do this if its hot or from cold?
I think all pedals have a bit of give in them. I know mine does.

It seems to keep the revs up from cold. But it was hot lastnight when it wouldnt drive properly, i only stopped 2 put a fiver in so didnt really cool down. But once we stopped we sat in the car 4 about 30 minutes and tried it aint it worked fine.

If it revs high at cold then splutters and plays up when hot i was going to suggest the coolent temp sensor as this was the problem mine had.
As the ECU adds more fuel when the car is cold, kind of like a choke. Then if everything is working correctly it reduces the amount of fuel going into the engine when it is warm. So if its on the blink it will overfuel and run like a dog and sometimes cut out and not restart til it had cooled. Which annoyed me greatly until i finally worked out what was wrong
However if it is running fine when it is warm it will probably be something else. Best thing to do would probably be to get it put on a diagnostics test

Another thing iv noticed is that it runs cold all the time, usually way off the gauge. Unless im sat in traffic. Is that ok?
