Hmmm celica is pretty gutless (even the 190) & the GSi is....well its a Vauxhall

How much £££ to play with???

depends what your after
personally i would get the celica as it looks better providing its got the right wheels etc

looking at around £8500 with some more to spend but dont really want to go over that. been quoted £600 on both with 3 years no claims 4 years driving and i'm 21 so insurance is not a problem as such.

i like the fact that the gsi is a turbo, never owned a turbo plus i like the looks of it. think its the looks of the celica thats got me aswell

depends - drive them both one is more pratical than the other etc

colin why is bein a vauxhall so bad??? ive driven a celica vvti 140bhp version and it was not gr8 tbh it felt nice but just lacked power and something. my astra gsi im well happy with just had it mapped to 240bhp and it really is a good car, comfortable when you want a nice car to go out in but excellent when you fancy bit of fun, very good all-rounder which im glad i spent 8.5k on

The Celicas are a bit like the Hondas where you have to rev them to get the power. They're not the best looking car either! Astra for me, 2.0 turbo, good looks oh and a turbo!
