If there are many people on here who listeo to a lot of music on portable CD/MP3 players etc then you may be interested. I bought a set of "Shure E3c's" from the airport when I went to Spain and I was sooooo happy with them, I just forgot to say till now The sound quality is absolutely amazing even on my ipod nano, I thought people were talking to me during one tune and I kept taking the earphones out to see, but there was nobody there! They were also amazing on the bus/plane cos even at low volumes you cant hear anything else, so a definate thumbs up. They were about £60 duty free in the airport (I think cheaper on ebay) but worth every penny

yea good bit of kit, well some of them anyways. A lot of the cheaper ones are pretty much shite.
But it's certainly nothing new, it's been around since the 60/70s - they capture the surrounding noise via a microhpone, process and produce a frequency range and place a filter on the music (or headphones input) with that perticular range (and they do this 44.1K times a second).

Good stuff though
