am i right in syaing does one make the wheek stick out more towards the arch, as i have 15's on the gsi with 60mm gmax springs and shortened dampers, i took the bump stops out as to drop it a bit more and the bugger is catching, yet a friend's is lower at back with no catching no arch work done

yes, the offset is the angle your wheel sits at in relation to your hub.

It's nothing to do with angles. It's how far the wheels stick out from the hub.

nothing to do with angles...offset will determine how far in or out the arch your wheel will sit...if your et is a low figure eg et 7 then it will sit further out the arch than a wheel with offset et20, i believe the offset of a vauxhall corsa will probably be around et30-35 or something...

An offset of ET35 for example will make your wheels stick out further from the arches, whereas an offset of ET60 (never heard of it, but just for examples sake) would make the wheels sit further inside the arch.
