If there is a really heavy snow fall you will get some roads unpassable...There is some roads with barriers that they close when it snows heavy...
But majority you will be ok..

there isnt even snow up here, we have dual carrige ways and a/b roads too ya know 
theyre not all single track cow and sheep infested pebble tracks like people think

oh and i woudnt bother going passed fort william/aviemore if you want a good ski, im up passed inverness and there is nowhere to ski up here

The only reason I asked is because if you drive to france you are ok until you get to the mountains. They don't clear the roads or salt them very often because you are meant to have chains Glencoe is 1000 meters or so, so it is a real mountain
