I dont like it.... mainly because everytime one comes out Jay's shopping list gets longer.....
We normally get Max Power every month so will buy the new one tomorrow to compare but.... reading the comments above, if it is now purely Euro, us followers of Cali may find it too limiting. Still theres no pleasing everybody is there?
Wil let you know

Euro is subtle mods, Cali is brightly coloured, kitted car but not as extreme or as low as a Jap but a bit more in your face than Euro.
As defined some months back in Max Power Probably why Jay favours Purple for his respray.............

Max Power was an excellent magazine when it started.
The same goes for Fast Car.
I have bought neither publications in a VERY long time.
I'm sure i'm not the only one.
If I want adverts, i'll watch ITV or look in Exchange and Mart. If I want to see slags with their tits out i'll buy some porn. If I want to look at shit cars I can go to Southend on a Saturday night.
All I read now is Motorsport, Evo, Classic Ford, Performance Ford (ocassionally) and PPC.
F.C. and M.P. need to return to their roots quite urgently in my opinion.

Looks like its trying to hard to be a big boys mag imo, "fast as this" "0-60 this quick" "turbo your car, live dangerously fast".
Slap a meaty skyline on the cover, chuck a few of the above mentioned lines in, use less colours and hope no-one remembers its the same magazine that is full of pish and talks shite.
Good luck though, just not my thing.

think that there is not as much madness in installs etc too look at in subtle cars even tho i love the euro look!!
think maybe they could catter for more readers

Got this last night.
Couldn't believe the '23 ways to improve your ride' section. Read through it and they seemed to give good advice instead of where they used to tell you to do burnouts and handbrake turns at every opportunity.
Although it went back a bit dodgy again in the drifting guide. Showing an example of drifting around a roundabout.
It is a big improvement, although there are a few kinks need ironing out.
IMO of course.

MUCH MUCH BETTER, the guide for how an amp works is good, excellent call on ditiching all the soft porn, it was a bit rank. Could do with some more euro style cars and more down to earth cars

Good and Bad in my eyes....
Good - I liked the style, the quality of cars and features.
Bad - It seemed small? It was still ladel with adverts everywhere, there wasn't many feature cars....
Ideas- A new name would be a great idea IMO, to go with the Fresh new look. Im afraid people will always relate the name "Max Power" to boy racers.
On another note - Will Max Power Live be going ahead this year?

Must admit when I was buying it last night I was hoping that no one I knew would see me. I was almost embarrased when handing it to the cashier.
