For some unknown reason i cant find my bloody tax disc any where!
How do i go about getting one and will i have to pay for a new one even thought there's 4 months tax left on it?

yeah im pretty sure they would issue another one, have you still got the receipt from it??

No. They will send you a new one. When my brother wrote my mum's car off, it had 10 months tax left, but someone had taken the tax disc from the scene of the accident. We contacted the DVLA and they sent a form out to us, and we had to fill it in to either get a new tax disc, or for a refund. I'm sure it's the same, so give the DVLA a call.

My tax disc got stolen last month and it had one month left on it, I had to pay £7 for the replacement tax disc either that or get busted by the police for not displaying a tax disc i know which one I prefer.

You have to get form V20 and send to your local office which can be found @ http://www.dvla.gov.uk/contactus/localoffices/findnear.aspx

Sorry but how do you lose a tax disk....you stick it in the holder when new & dont touch it until the 6/12 months are up!!

If that is to me a bloody tosser smashed my window stole my tax disc and then got in car and drove off it was strange just for a tax disc, I tried to do something about it but living on a top floor flat is a tad difficult lol - too many stairs
