Im wanting to get my corsa lowered and do a couple of other bits before i have too start on the car insurance again (Paid off until April)

I've looked @ these..
http://www.essexracing.com/product_info.php?products_id=858

Now, These say it lowers 40mm which is fine, But are they any good?

Do i just take it to any garage and ask them to lower it?

What are the main benefits from lowering, and do you suggest anything other than kit

Cheers guys

I will never again lower a car with just springs on the standard shocks. The ride is extremely bouncy and the handling is shocking. Wouldn't recommend them 2bh

these springs r designed to lower the car. not improve the handling!
ive got a spring kit on my gsi and its a huge mistake. im now saving for some second hand coilovers. its def not worth it!keep ur eye out for a cheap kit. second hand will b fine! as long as no leaks etc

get coilovers. fitted mine today and its on its arse but still a good ride not had much chance to give it any abuse yet but it feels so much better than just springs. worst mistake ever buying just springs i hated driving the car it felt that bad.

i got some g-max ones not the best but they were only 300 notes the handling difference is stupid been booting it down lanes all nite since i put them on. pain in the arse to set up right but they were only a bit more than a set of fixed ones so why not ?

About fitting, most garages will fit them, right?

not sure what its like to get a garage to do it people i know have had just springs done for around 50 quid but its the same amount of work to fit a full kit. coilovers would probably be quite a lot to fit and set up i had to drill a few washers out and stuff still not got them set quite right but they feel good round corners.
