I can get by most VTi civics and Del sol's with usual mods. but its is a close thing.

bad thing with VTi's and Type R's is they may have 160bhp+ but the the torque figures are not too good.

Nice cars tho...

In the valver?
if its close then im happy with something that performs that well against a valver, I just like the fact that they're reliable and the insurance isnt too bad..

trying to find some spec on them

oh aye.... there not slow by any means for a 1.6.
In v-tec there good but under that its.... no no.

Honda's are pretty reliable like any other car if they have been looked after.

Also... can supercharge them, my mate did this! Crazy stuff, along with other mods i'm sure he got 288bhp on the rollers. cant quite remember.

well I wana concentrate on getting one first, it think this is the best option
ive looked at the following

106 gti (got a few local)
mr2 (Hard finding a tidy 1+high insurance)
xsara vts (not nice to look at)

the civic is the best bet, I can get a tidy one for 2500-3000

But il be keepin it for a while so a turbo conversion would be nice providing the car would still be reliable and a good garage did the conversion

to do a turbo conversion you'll need to look at the internals of the engine.

Wouldnt have to do much for a supercharger...

106GTi is also a good choice, fun to drive!

id rather a civic to a gti, and its going to xost me similar to get a clean one of each, supercharger would be even cooler
And a little cheaper!?
we have a few 106's local, fancy something differant, no civics local

no you wont, not for a low pressure turbo, engine can take around 250bhp without internal work.

im in the process of doing a turbo conversion, will cost around £800 for the turbo bolted on and tuned.

all over the place you can change from a d15 to a d16, only a matter of connecting 5/6 more wires

The whole lack of torque thing is not an issue.

How often do you ever pull away at 1k revs, and completely nail it from there. Once you're over 6k it'll stay over 6k til you run out of road/gears. Change down to the correct gear and boom...in the vtec, plenty of power.

B16 is a nice engine, B16B is even nicer
