Did the test via the Police to allow me to drive with Blue lights etc.
Hepled a lot learning how to read corners, acceleration etc
Improved my observation skills

i have done it. personally i found it to be be a complete waste of time. basically like doing ur driving test again altho they let u drive in the country progresivly.
u pay to do it
it doesnt benefit u, i think there was one insurance company who covered n ireland that acknowledged it and gave discount but they were so expenisve even with discount. then the iam send u letters every month and u have to pay membership fees one a year..

u get a sticker. i never put mine up and was told to behave myself drivign with it up etc..
bullshit.
dont think u need it to join the emergency services as i think they would put u thru it..

few people i know have been made to do it after havin accidents involving just themselves ie rollin a car on country lanes

God this bring back memories. Rolled a car in my 1st year of driving (a long, long time ago). Weird experience see the grass on your roof as your going over. Thank god for seat belts. Lovely car too, total wreck by the time it came to a stand still.
Anyway, if the advanced driving is not the way to go to get extra experience in handling, what is? Thinking of Jay's (xtremewheels) passion for cruises and watching people drifting (when they shouldn't be)
