If they have a slight bit of rust on them, what's the best way to treat them? i.e. get rid of rust and treat with hammerite, or is it nothing to worry too much about, any sensible advice appreciated

pick off flakey paint then just coat the rest in hammerite

Cool cheers mate, there's only a couple of small flakes, just didn't want to jump in and buy if you all said don't touch there probably knackered, or something to that description
