Hes currently got a Golf V6 4 Motion and until recently has considered the Focus, Astra and new Golf as a potential replacement. He saw a 6 month old L200 twin cab (120ps) at the weekend with only 5 miles on the clock for about 12k. My Mum wasn't impressed though so that idea was scrapped. He went to VW yesterday and apparentley the fore runner now is a Touran TDi He wants something to put his mountain bike in the back of

Good man, mountain biking me and dad do the same, shame about ditching the Golf though.
5 door new R32 would be just as practical.

there's a touran tdi at work.
nice car, but not all that. returns about 55mpg, but it's pretty slow, and the toys aren't brilliant.
bike rack idea sounds like a goodun.
also the twin cab pickups are nice. just tell him to buy your mum a new handbag or something to make it up.
