i would of thought the vtec could of pulled it into next week???
lovely motor mate, what was the vid recorded on?? Would like to hear a good quality sound clip to hear the difference between that and my mates dc2, as on the vid you don't really hear any kick as such, where as my mates dc2 sort of goes silent for a split second then goes ballistic!!!!

These civics, are they 1.6 or 2.0?
If its a 1.6, anything near 200bhp is amazing. Torques not tooooo bad either.
Great track car it sounds like? How much are they Martin_C? (still considering binning the corsa for another track car).

1.6, 185 ish bhp stock. its an awesome track car, its fully seam welded standard, helical lsd, suspension feels awesome for standard too, quite a light car too.
lots of spec
http://www.isitaboat.co.uk/cars/honda_civic_type_r__ek9_/
a few good track vids
http://k20a.free.fr/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=48
if you're not too fussed about condition you can have a cheaper one imported for about 6k 97 model. ranging up to about 10k for a mint 2000 model, no real difference in them performance wise, can also import some with the usual suspenion goodies.
expensive for a track car though.

mainly doing it for power, with the spoon panel filter i've seen a similar setup give 15bhp on the rollers for a jordan, so going to see what this is putting out at another rr then add the bits and try again.

How's that, same power as previously silly ass kit on them
I'm really not a fan of the new civic anyway, integra is a different class imo.

hmm aesthetically i think the new civic is utterly disgusting. interior is better in real life than on pictures and they drive superbly.
but i do like dc5's, then again pre 07 ctr i am starting to come around to. just summat to ferry kids about in and for normal day to day usage

DC2 tegs have a definite "clunk" as the cam followers are switched
whereas the newer shape civic type R is much smoother coming into V-TEC
