Aparently Vauxhall made 5 1.8 8v turbo astra mk 2
and 5 2.0 16v turbo astra mk 2 , both around B plate.
Made both to see which was better for power and the driver
aperently the 1.8 turbo was too much in those days, thats why we got the c20let
Any1 got any info ??

They well have made some prototypes but I'm not aware of anything standard with turbo power in that model, certainly not in this country.

There were C20LET mk3 Astras in South Africa though. Called a 200ts.

cool, just a mate of mine (ex vaux mechanic) and loves his vauxhalls told me bout it other day, aperently his mate has 1 of these 1.8 turbo engines in his astra, whole car for sale too as shell has now started goin rotten, all work on engine done by courtenay sport

2.0 8v Turbo Mk2s, in Brazil I think, not sure about the 16v though.

i'l try get more info from him on this 2moro, he knows his vauxhalls, hopefully he'l be able to tell me more, same guy that knows bout the Lotus Nova, supose he is older than me and worked for vauxhall so just askin for info bout what he told me

They wouldn't normally subcontract jobs like this to a tuner although companies like MSD/888 have been involved more recently.

Lotus Nova wasn't a Lotus, it was just a 20xe nova with Lotus badges

the bloke with this engine has his work done by courtenay, wasn't originally done by courtenay, the engine is made by vauxhall and has Pace turbo and intercooler
