well mine does 0-95 mph in 14.8 secs.

saxo around 21 seconds according to the book although as paul says they are usually faster, corsa 28 seconds

28 seconds that cant be right, they both get to 60 within 8 secs surely the corsa 1.8 cant take another 20 secs to get to 100

the corsa c is mid 8s to 60 the 106 is mid to low 7s

but yes about 28 seconds to 100 is what manufacturers quote opposed to 21 second for the gti.

both may be a few seconds quicker in real driving terms

Id have the corsa anyday though myself, more refined bigger safer ect

I would go for the Corsa just because of the interior alone, especially face-lift ones. engine is a good-un and responds just as well as the french cars when it comes to breathing mods. 150bhp is easily achievable for not much, and its a very torquey unit. mine is quick enough to see off any of the big aussie 6's, apart from the turbo's
brakes are also immensely good.
