Not moved the car in five months so the batterys dead start it, sounds pretty shit hot considering.

Going to turn it around and the power steering system pipe has peraished and it is now pretty much undriveable.

The bloke buying it is coming almost 180 miles. and will be here in the next 30 mins what do i say.

If he knows what he's looking at he'll know it's down to the pipe.

Fill the reservoir up to show that the PAS still works, but he'll have to get it trailered or fixed first.

Thinking of knocking 200 off the price as a good will sorry guesture.

He knows it has no MOT or Tax so would surly bring a trailer. so it would not be to much of an issue getting it back.

I not sure if he has a trailer but thinking about it would you risk driving 200 miles without mot or tax.

I take it you've got conventional hydraulic PAS Jodi.

If so, it should take Dextron 2 which is red and is the same as auto box fluid. You can buy it in 1 litre squeezy bottles from most filling stations.

Some cars do take LHM though which is a more modern variant and is green in colour.

Not got any kinds of fuild in the house and can not drive so can't get to a garage might send the lass out and charm him into parting with his cash.

Yes.

It will ruin the pump, and then the swarf from the pump will fill the rack and ruin that too i'm afraid.

Reminds me of the time I sold my corsa, it had been sat in the garage for the best part of a month. when it had gone, i found 4 jubilee clips I had taken off while fucking around with various AFMs, ICVs and airfilters before selling it.

Wonder how far he got before it all fell apart
